About Our Alloys
Ferago Trade offers thin film and PVD materials designed for a variety of uses. Our broad range of products includes ceramics, precious and non-precious metals to support all platforms and configurations. Our components can be manipulated to conform to a variety of shapes, sizes, or compositions. Thin film materials range from a fraction of a nanometer to several micrometers in thickness. They are ideal for electronic semiconductors and optical coatings.
PVD Materials
Pysical Vapor Deposition (PVD) is the method of depositing thin films onto various surfaces. This is completed using high temperature vacuum evaporation and condensation. This practice is commonly used on automotive parts, surgical tools, drill bits, and firearms. Common coatings include titanium nitride, chromium nitride, and zirconium nitride.
Experts in Quality Control
We are dedicated to perform stringent quality control. Whether for research, development, or production, we ensure every single product is of extremely high quality and reproducible; even for the most unusual combinations of alloys. We are capable of completing orders as large or small as needed, while maintaining high purities of mixed alloys.
Ferago Trade cast low melting reactive materials in a wide range of sizes and we also grind, cut, mill, and DEM materials in a controlled environment. Since we stock our own raw materials, at Ferago Trade. We are able to closely monitor our prices and offer our customers extremely competitive quotes for thin film materials and PVD materials.
Evaporation Materials
Ferago Trade stocks a vast assortment of evaporation materials for use in thermal evaporation and deposition processes. All of our sources, pellets, and wire are made from the highest purity elemental metals. No matter the material malleability, we are able to complete custom alloy orders.
We utilize almost any combination of elements to create evaporate pieces. Our top selling materials include:
Ferago Trade Commitment To The Environment
We are committed to minimizing waste and pollution and maximizing wise conservation of our natural resources. To that end, we have adopted the following “green manufacturing business practices.” The practices, as described below, exceed the recommendations of the Green Business Program Worldwide.
Alloying and Pressing
Our processes include vacuum hot-pressing, and vacuum-arc melting.
Machining and Grinding
Ferago Trade has a full machine shop in house with turning, milling, rolling, heat-treating, bonding, and grinding capabilities, manned by a staff of highly skilled machinists who can quickly and carefully fabricate almost any material imaginable.
Sheet and Wire Forming
Alloys also has plate, foil, wire, and rod rolling capabilities.
Reclaiming Materials
Spent targets of certain materials may be melted down and recast for customer use, avoiding any assay and reclaim fees. Contaminated or alloyed materials which cannot be re-used can be reclaimed for credit to a customer metal pool account, credited against future orders, or simply cashed out, according to your preference.
